So who is This Crafty Mom? Why, that’s me, of course.
I’m a girl raised in the deep South by one of those families who actually all get along. My grandmother did everything crafty you can think of – crocheting, needlepoint, counted cross stitch, smocking, heirloom quilting etc. I loved spending my summers with her trying to learn her art, and today enjoy my own version of crafty-ness.
I love to sew and try new things. I even tried my hand at the saxophone, but that didn’t go over well so I think I’ll stick with stitchery.
I’m a huge proponent of natural pregnancy and birth, informed choices, Baby Signs, and breastfeeding amongst other things. I’m currently working towards a Doula certification and am pondering midwifery down the road. Does that make me crunchy? Yeah, I guess it does.
I’m “Mommy” to 1 boy, 1 girl. He’s my Little Star and she’s my Sunshine.
I have a shop on Etsy.com where I make gifts for babies, toddlers, and those who are just young at heart.
I guess that’s a quick-ref guide to me, ThisCraftyMom.

Saxophone?!?
Yes ma’am. I can’t remember who wanted me to learn it. Probably Mr. S. for backup for someone since the bassoon is a bit, shall we say, not-travel-friendly. LOL
Apparently I didn’t have the lung capacity because it just wasn’t happening. LOL
I would love to repost your thoughts and all the info about the petitions and such on my blog and on other sites I belong to. Would that be ok or would you rather I rewrite something? Let me know and thanks,
Sandi
Hi there! You’re welcome to share the info – most of what I’ve posted was gleaned from other blogs I felt said it more succinctly than I ever could.
